Calhoun County Courthouse

CALHOUN COUNTY COURTHOUSE

The first county courthouse was completed in Grantsville about 1870, but burned to the ground before it was occupied.

Another structure was erected on the same site and was used until 1880 when a brick building was constructed for $8,400.

In 1940, a modern cut-stone courthouse and jail were completed at a cost of approximately $170,000.
