General Exterior |
The Commissioners’ building is a two-story building with a basement, (P50). It is approximately 5,000 square feet. The foundation is concrete and there is evidence of settlement. The exterior walls are brick with paint on the exterior. There is evidence of water damage to the exterior walls. There is damage to concrete at doors, (P54, P60, P61, P62, P66, P67). |

Exterior Walls |
The exterior walls are constructed of brick. There is exterior water damage to the building. There are cracks in the exterior walls of the building, (P64, P65). |
Perform engineering study on cracks to the exterior walls of the building. Repaint the building. |

Roof |
The building has a flat roof, which was replaced in 2001.

Windows and Doors |
The windows are wood and aluminum. They are single pane and appear to be in good condition. The doors are aluminum and steel with glass. There are locks and dead bolts on the doors and panic hardware on exit doors, (P65). |

Fire Safety |
The building has a sprinkler system, emergency lighting and exit lights. There is also a fire alarm system. There are two means of egress from every floor except the basement. There are two exits from each room that holds 50 or more people. There are stairways that are not enclosed by fire rated doors, (P49, P77, P78). There is panic hardware on all exit doors. |
Install strobes. Install fire rated doors to enclose the stairways. |
