General Exterior

The family law master annex is located at 105 S. Spring Street.  The building is approximately 3,200 square feet in two stories.

 

 

 

Exterior Walls

The exterior is brick masonry and is missing some mortar.  Brick is dirty with mold and water stains.

 

Replace missing mortar joints and clean the building.

Roof

Roof access could not be granted during the visit due to court being in session.  The roof is flat with a section of asphalt shingles on the stair access.  There are some water damaged ceiling tiles which should be replaced.  Evidence of a roof leak was found.

 

Replace water damaged ceiling tiles.

Windows and Doors

There are few windows due to the design/layout of the building.  The existing windows are in good condition.

The front door is aluminum and glass in good condition.

 

 

 

Fire Safety

There is fire alarm system with strobes, exit lighting and emergency lights.

 

 

 

ADA compliance

The accessible bathroom appears to be in good condition, but it needs to have the drain and hot water lines insulated. 

The building has steps upon entering the building.  A lift is needed to comply with ADA requirements. 

 

Insulate the drain and hot water lines.

 

 

Install a chair lift at the entrance to the building.

Security

The building has a closed circuit TV system, metal detectors, secure entrances, and guards.  The security was excellent.  There is no X-ray machine to check packages.
